Alternative Energy Off commercial electric between March 4, 2011 and Aug 31, 2018. The return to commercial power is partial. May 2024 - reanalyzing the total cost of grid connect. Currently available fast charging options in this area there are several that are less than what Enerstar costs me. "Yes" the per kwh rate of Enerstar on paper looks cheap, but they have one of the most expensive "Grid connect fees" in the area, if not the nation $56/month even when no power used. The last few months all costs added together it has cost me around 25 cents/kwh and the less I use from grid the higher that climbs. Really reconsidering pulling the meter, again.

I constructed this panel in 1980
from 36 Radio Shack 1 amp cells. The cost was around 10 dollars per cell. It worked for about a year. I kept a plexiglass cover on them when I wasnt around. It operated one light bulb and a Ten-Tec Argonaut 509. |
