WD9EKA Alternative Energy
Off commercial electric between March 4, 2011 and Aug 31, 2018.
The return to commercial power was partial.
Commercial is cheaper than backup propane generator and we
have a Nissan Ariay and Hyundai Ioniq 6 SEL to charge.
Prioritizing solar production over grid power,
using grid power for house only when the batteries are low and no sun.

I constructed this panel in 1980 from 36 Radio Shack(remember them) 1 amp cells.
The cost was around 10 dollars per cell. It worked for about a year. I kept a plexiglass
cover on them when I wasnt around. It operated one light
bulb and a Ten-Tec Argonaut 509.
